Files and knowledge
Upload materials, find results and control access.
Add a file to your work
Attach a file to a conversation or upload it to the appropriate files section. For teamwork, keep shared materials in a project and ongoing reference documents in the assistant's knowledge.
Wait for the upload to finish. Then ask the assistant to do something specific: compare documents, extract facts, check a spreadsheet or prepare a new file.
Choose a storage location
Files can belong to a user, workspace, assistant, conversation, project or application. Their location determines the working context and access.
If a colleague cannot see a file, check where it is saved and whether they have access to the corresponding project or application. A file's name alone does not make it shared.
Find the result
You can open generated materials from the assistant's response or from related files. In a project, check the files section and task card. If the result belongs to an application, open it there.
Check the content before sharing it: numbers, table completeness and document formatting. If necessary, ask for specific corrections in the same conversation.
Use a document as a knowledge source
Uploading, extracting content and searching a file are separate stages. A file may already appear in the list while its contents are not yet ready to search.
If information is missing from a response, check processing status and explicitly name the document or section. Scanned documents may require text recognition; processing availability depends on the connected tools.
Free up space
You can check storage usage in workspace settings. Delete unnecessary copies and check for duplicates in other sections.
Moving changes a file's location, while copying creates another file and uses more space. Storage usage may not update immediately after deletion: reclaiming space depends on storage cleanup.
Deleting a conversation should not be treated as deleting all its results from other locations or external services.
